After 18 months of uncertainty, it’s pretty certain that most of our kids will be back to school this fall. That also means, it’s time to get ready!

I’ll break this post down by clothing, shoes, and materials to get you and your little one ready for back-to-school!

Clothing:

Bear goes to a school that requires uniforms and just about every place has great deals on uniforms. My favorite is The Children’s Place. They have really good clothing for cheap, but they’re of great quality and tend to last for years! I highly recommend them!

Other honorable mentions: Target and Wal-Mart.

Shoes:

Bear grows a lot and I buy new shoes for him once a year. While some can argue a child only needs a couple pairs of shoes, I like for Bear to have options – slides, Crocs, and sneakers for when he goes to school or playdates.

While you can you get shoes anywhere, my favorite go-to is DSW. No, I don’t buy Bear designer shoes, but I love the quality and selection of their shoes. Plus, it’s a win-win for me and Bear. He gets shoes and so do I!

Honorable mentions: Wal-Mart, Target, and any other place you get shoes.

School Supplies

There are really a variety of place to get your school supplies! We’re lucky enough to be in a district where Bear’s school supplies are given to him. However, there were some things we did have to get.

Target and Wal-Mart are actually great sources for school supplies. You can get a lot for little and that’s why they are high on the list for supplies. Another honorable mention is Michael’s! A lot of people look at it for crafts but there are also a great selection of school supplies there.

Workbooks

I love getting Bear prepared for the upcoming school year as much as possible. You won’t go wrong with these workbooks!

I love the Summer Brain Quest series because it’s fun and quick (Bear usually completes his workbook activities in five minutes or less), but also you get a lot for little. While you could get these at Wal-Mart or Target (even Michael’s!), I highly recommend getting them from Amazon to save money.

Masks

There’s pretty much any place you can get masks nowadays. I buy disposables for everyone in our household and I tend to get a really great deal on them. I don’t have to worry about washing masks all the time when I can just dispose of them (though we do have cloth masks!).

So, that is it! We went over clothing, shoes, workbooks, and masks! How are you getting ready for school?
